Hoyl, Jr., however any third party sites and information found at those locations are the sole responsibility of those who create and maintain those sites. For instance, the Texas Legislature's web site is not something for which this office can claim credit.  In personal injury cases where a contingent fee agrement is reached, the client will be obligated to pay all court costs and out of pocket expenses upon the collection of a settlement or verdict.  Attorney fees are computed from the gross recovery. Court costs, litigation expenses and medical bills are paid from client's share of the recovery. However, if client does not recover, there is no charge for attorney fees and no charge for costs and court preparation expenses, except for client's medical bills. Percentage fees in personal injury cases, other than those limited by statute, medical negligence and product liablity, are based upon a sliding scale of 1/3 of the gross recovery prior to filing suit, 40% thereafter and 45% in the event a notice of appeal is filed. No attorney client relationship is established until you have agreed to retain the lawyer and the lawyer has agreed to accept you as a client and payment arrangements have been agreed by both parties.  You must first determine whether the firm already represents interests adverse to you before giving any information you may deem to be confidential or you waive confidentiality as to that adverse party. You should treat the information found on these pages simply as you would any book, newspaper or other general information source.  Various persons may assist in provision of legal services, including legal assistants, clerks, secretaries, receptionists, escrow officers, investigators, consultants, attorneys, abstractors, researchers, internet service providers and others and your information may be shared with them to assist in provision of legal services.  Your continued use of this website gives your consent and agreement to these terms.
